Maple India has appointed Farhan Qureshi as group head HR, marking his move into a group-level people leadership role. Qureshi announced the appointment through a LinkedIn post. In his new role, Qureshi will lead the HR function across Maple India’s group companies, brands, stores and corporate operations.
His mandate will include HR strategy, workforce planning, talent acquisition, organisation development, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, statutory compliance, learning and development, employee engagement, HRMS and people analytics.
Qureshi joins Maple India from Burgundy Brand Collective, where he served as manager – human resources, heading HR operations, HR business partnering and talent acquisition across the organisation’s corporate and retail operations. He was associated with Burgundy from May 2025 to August 2026 and worked with six luxury brands, including Onitsuka Tiger, Royce’ Chocolate, Provenance, Jacadi Paris, Ligne Roset and Le Mill.
Prior to Burgundy Brand Collective, Qureshi was lead regional human resources manager – west region at Novel Jewels, the jewellery business of the Aditya Birla Group. Between November 2023 and January 2025, he supported the launch and expansion of the Indriya brand, including talent acquisition, workforce planning, employee engagement and HR operations across the region.
Earlier, he spent over a year with Reliance Retail as state HR manager – West 1, managing HR for multiple apparel and footwear brands across Maharashtra and Goa. His responsibilities included employee lifecycle management, retention, engagement, grievance handling, performance management, succession planning and manpower planning for a workforce of more than 3,500 employees.
Qureshi has also held HR leadership roles at Raymond, Arvind Lifestyle Brands and Future Group. At Raymond, he served as lead regional HR – West India, overseeing HR operations across multiple businesses and brands. At Arvind Lifestyle Brands, he managed HR for more than 2,000 employees across West India and was responsible for recruitment, performance management, succession planning, employee engagement and statutory compliance.
He began his professional career in recruitment and talent acquisition, including a stint with Larsen & Toubro, where he handled domestic and international hiring across IT roles. He also worked with VNV Consulting, Target and Kelly Services India in recruitment-related positions.
Qureshi holds an MBA in Human Resources Management from Guru Nanak Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai, where he ranked first in his final examination. He also holds a BSc in Zoology from Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Matunga.
With more than 13 years of experience across retail, luxury, jewellery, apparel and other consumer-facing businesses, Qureshi brings experience spanning HR business partnering, talent acquisition, workforce planning, employee engagement and HR operations to his new group-level mandate at Maple India.
