    Pooja Duggal steps down as CHRO, Zee Media

    Pooja Duggal has stepped down from her position as chief human resources officer, Zee Media. Having joined the company in May 2023, she had over two decades of diverse HR experience across various sectors behind her.
    Her departure from the company is scheduled for 15 September, 2024.

    Throughout her time at Zee Media, she played a pivotal role in leading the HR department, concentrating on recruitment, employee relations and supporting organisational growth. Prior to her role at Zee Media, she held positions at HT Media, Jindal Steel & Power, and Raychem RPG, among others.

    Duggal began her professional journey in the year 2004,with HCL Technologies. She joined the company as its software tester. In 2005, she moved to Right Management as a consultant. There, she designed and delivered programmes on the various nuances of leadership for IT/ITES, banking, oil and petroleum, and telecom industry.

    In 2010, Duggal joined MTS as its lead-HR strategy and organisational development. In this role, she played a key part in building the MTS brand in India by contributing to the design and implementation of strategic HR systems and processes, including the competency framework, high-potential employee programmes, and quarterly incentive schemes.

    In December 2011, Duggal moved to Jindal Steel and Power (JSPL), as its global-HR manager. In this role, she deployed the employee-engagement framework for JSPL’s 12 locations, globally – with key focus on impact planning and engagement dashboards. Additionally, she designed and launched a strategic leadership goal-setting process clearly aligning the business agenda to individual scorecards.

    In January 2014, Duggal moved to Raychem RPG as its head-HR for its Energy Product Business and channelised business strategies into HR objectives, thereby positively contributing to the business’ P&L.

    In the year 2019, Duggal joined HT Media as its assistant vice president and lead its talent acquisition, learning and development, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, talent management, HR information systems (HRIS) and financial planning. In 2022, she was promoted to VP-HR.

    In September 2022, she joined HT Digital Streams as its head-HR, before joining Zee Media.
    An alumnus of SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Duggal holds a degree in Information Systems from IP University.
