Radhika Arora has joined DCM Shriram Chemicals as chief human resources officer, moving from Isgec Heavy Engineering, where she had been CHRO since August 2024.
The appointment continues a career that has increasingly centred on people leadership in industrial and engineering businesses. Over more than two decades, Arora has worked across manufacturing, infrastructure, heavy engineering and consumer electronics, with a large part of her early HR grounding coming from Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL).
Before joining Isgec, Arora was group chief people officer at Jakson Group from April 2023 to August 2024. She had previously served as the group’s CHRO from July 2020, giving her an overall stint of more than four years with the energy and infrastructure company.
Her move to Jakson followed seven years at Sony India. As head of talent acquisition, organisational development and learning, Arora was responsible for areas including hiring, employee engagement, capability development and organisational development at the corporate level.
Her longest early-career stint was at BHEL, where she spent more than eight years from 2004 to 2012. Starting relatively early in her HR career, she went on to become deputy manager, HR, OD and recruitment. Her work there covered performance management, succession planning, competency management, employee engagement and HR systems, along with initiatives involving high-potential employees, job rotation and knowledge management.
She began her career in recruitment before joining BHEL.
The move to DCM Shriram Chemicals therefore takes Arora into another people leadership role in a business where manufacturing operations and technical workforces form a significant part of the HR mandate. Her experience across BHEL, Jakson and Isgec gives the appointment a stronger industrial thread than her varied sector experience might initially suggest.
