Lufthansa Systems India has appointed Ranjan Saxena as head-human resources, bringing on board a people leader with a career shaped across consulting, global capability centres and large, complex organisations. The move comes as the aviation technology firm continues to scale its India operations and sharpen its focus on talent depth, engagement and long-term capability.

Based in Bengaluru, Saxena will lead the HR function for Lufthansa Systems India, overseeing workforce strategy, hiring, capability development, HR operations and employee experience. His appointment reflects the company’s intent to strengthen its people foundations as aviation technology becomes increasingly digital, data-driven and skills-intensive.

Saxena transitions into the role after more than two years with EY, where he worked as senior manager-people consulting. In this role, he led the design and activation of talent workstreams for Fortune 100 global capability centre (GCC) clients, helping organisations build leadership capability, structure talent models and scale India operations in line with global mandates.

Before EY, he served as associate director and head-HR at ANSR. There, he worked closely with Fortune 500 companies establishing and running GCCs in India, while also managing ANSR’s internal HR agenda. The role positioned him at the intersection of business growth, talent strategy and operating maturity.

A significant part of Saxena’s career has been spent at AtkinsRéalis, where he held multiple leadership roles over nearly five years. His responsibilities ranged from HR business partnering and performance management across Asia Pacific to leading HR operations and shared services for India and the region. He also managed large-scale transformation initiatives focused on HR systems, innovation and future-ready operating models.

Earlier roles include heading HR for the Greater Punjab circle at American Tower and managing HR and talent acquisition for oil and gas projects in the Middle East with Punj Lloyd. Starting his career in HR generalist roles, Saxena brings close to 15 years of experience across India, Asia Pacific, Europe and the Middle East.

An alumnus of Xavier Institute of Social Service, Saxena’s expertise lies in HR business partnering, performance management, learning & development, HR operations, systems, HR analytics and recruitment.
