MakeMyTrip Group-owned online bus-ticketing platform redBus has strengthened its leadership team. The group has appointed Divya Amarnath as vice president and head-human resources. The move comes as the company scales operations across India and international markets and sharpens its focus on building organisational capability to support growth.
In her new role, Amarnath will lead the end-to-end people and workplace strategy across redBus and its allied businesses, including Bitla and Savaari. Her mandate covers talent strategy, organisational design, culture building, employee experience, and workforce planning across more than 1,500 employees spread across multiple geographies. The role also aligns HR priorities with business growth, digital expansion, and evolving workforce expectations, as redBus continues to report strong year-on-year growth and profitability.
Amarnath brings over two decades of experience across consumer internet, manufacturing, and global organisations. Before joining redBus, she served as group head of HR digital transformation and analytics at Godrej Industries Group, where she focused on HR technology, data-led decision-making, and transformation initiatives. She has also held senior leadership roles at Lenskart, overseeing global HR and employee relations for a workforce of over 16,000 employees.
Her career includes a long stint at Flipkart, where she led HR for new businesses, handled HR strategy and M&A, and partnered closely with technology and supply chain teams. Earlier, she was associated with Unilever for several years, working across HR service delivery, talent acquisition, digital transformation, factory employee relations, and large-scale workforce operations spanning white- and blue-collar employees nationwide.
The appointment reflects redBus’s intent to invest deeper in leadership depth, talent retention, and organisational readiness. As competition intensifies across digital travel and mobility platforms, the company is expected to place increased emphasis on people strategy as a key enabler of its next phase of growth.
