    Saatvik Solar appoints Arindam Chakraborty as CHRO

    Saatvik Solar has appointed Arindam Chakraborty as its chief human resources officer (CHRO), bringing on board a seasoned HR leader with over 25 years of experience across the manufacturing, automotive, renewable energy and consumer goods sectors.

    Announcing his appointment on LinkedIn, Chakraborty expressed how delighted he was “to begin a new chapter” and to be be part of “an organisation that is shaping India’s clean energy future”. He sees this as “both an honour and an exciting opportunity” looks forward “to working alongside talented colleagues to build a people-first culture, nurture future-ready talent, and create an environment where individuals and the organisation can grow together.”

    Chakraborty joins Saatvik Solar from Vikram Solar, where he most recently served as senior vice president and head–global HR. During his tenure, he led organisation-wide structural transformation, workforce planning for capacity expansion, succession planning, and the rollout of the company’s ESOP programme as part of its IPO preparations. He had earlier served as CHRO and group head – HR at Vikram Solar (2021-2023), where he was responsible for people strategy, corporate communications, CSR and workplace digitisation.

    Before returning to Vikram Solar in 2024, Chakraborty briefly served as vice president – HR and head-organisation development and learning at Ashok Leyland. He has also held leadership roles at Royal Enfield, where he led HR for the global commercial organisation before moving to head customer experience, driving capability-building initiatives across the company’s dealer network.

    Earlier in his career, he was head-HR at Eicher Polaris, where he was the first employee of the joint venture and played a pivotal role in building the organisation from the ground up, including designing HR policies, organisation structure and talent processes.

    His professional journey also includes leadership assignments as CHRO at Aviotech, head of corporate HR at Britannia Industries, assistant vice president – HR at Genpact, lead capability development manager at Coca-Cola India, and HR roles at Mitsubishi Chemicals PTA India and Shaw Wallace Ceylon.

    A postgraduate in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi, Chakraborty also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata.

    In his new role, Chakraborty will lead Saatvik Solar’s people strategy as the company continues to expand its footprint in India’s fast-growing renewable energy sector.
