Suzlon Group has appointed Kamesh Chaganti as head HR –South (India Business), strengthening its leadership bench as the company scales its renewable energy operations across the region.
In his new position at Suzlon, he will lead the HR mandate for the company’s southern region, overseeing talent strategy, workforce planning, leadership development, and culture alignment to support Suzlon’s renewable energy growth plans in India.
Chaganti brings more than two decades of cross-industry HR experience, having worked across IT, manufacturing, banking, media & entertainment, and OTT platforms. Over the years, he has held leadership roles spanning HR strategy, culture building, talent development, organisational capability enhancement, and large-scale transformation programmes.
Before joining Suzlon, Chaganti served as global head – HR, Zee Entertainment’s International Business, where he led people strategy, talent frameworks, and capability building across global markets. He also worked as an associate consultant with KinnectHR, advising companies on leadership effectiveness, organisational development, and HR transformation.
His earlier career includes significant stints with Infosys, where he contributed to talent management and people processes during the organisation’s high-growth phase; Axis Bank, where he supported HR systems for a rapidly expanding retail and branch network; Nokia, where he drove HR initiatives in the telecommunications and manufacturing ecosystem; and roles in the media/OTT sector, where he helped build agile HR practices suited to digital-first business models.
A certified brain-based coach and a credential holder from the International Coach Federation (ICF), Chaganti is known for his people-centric leadership style and focus on building empowered, future-ready teams.
His appointment comes at a time when the company is strengthening its regional leadership structure to support operational expansion and workforce development across the clean energy sector.
