Tenneco Clean Air India has appointed Aditya Kohli as chief human resources officer for India, effective 1 April, 2026. Based in Gurugram, he will work closely with the leadership team to strengthen culture, deepen capability building, and enable organisational agility in a sector undergoing rapid transformation.
In his new role, Kohli will lead the company’s human- capital agenda, with a mandate spanning leadership development, organisational effectiveness, and the alignment of HR systems with business growth priorities. For Tenneco, which operates in a dynamic automotive ecosystem, talent strategy is emerging as a critical lever to drive both performance and resilience.
Kohli brings over 25 years of cross-sector HR- leadership experience, having worked across financial services, telecom, consulting, and manufacturing.
Most recently, he served as chief human resources officer at Orient Electric, where he spent four years shaping the company’s people strategy and supporting its transformation journey. Prior to that, he was CHRO at Clix Capital, where he played a key role in building organisational culture and strengthening the human capital foundation of a fast-growing fintech business.
Earlier in his career, Kohli held multiple leadership roles at Bharti Airtel, where he led HR for core business functions including engineering, networks, supply chain, and deployment. He also managed global rewards, HR systems, and analytics, gaining experience in aligning talent frameworks with large-scale business operations.
His tenure at Standard Chartered Bank further expanded his global exposure, where he worked across India and Singapore in roles spanning HR operations, performance and rewards, service delivery, and strategic HR transformation. Notably, he was responsible for HR operations supporting over 70,000 employees across more than 70 countries, focusing on efficiency, compliance, and large-scale transformation initiatives.
He began his career at Hewitt Associates (now Aon Hewitt), where he developed deep expertise in HR analytics, rewards strategy, and change management—foundational capabilities that have shaped his leadership approach over the years.
Kohli holds a postgraduate diploma in business management from Symbiosis International University and has also completed a leadership development programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, equipping him with a strong foundation in global leadership and strategic thinking.
