HONO, the HR technology company, has appointed Ritu Sinha as its new chief human resource officer (CHRO). She brings more than two decades of experience across aviation, startups and large enterprises to the company’s people function.
Sinha joins HONO after serving as head – people, culture & engagement at *flynas* , where she built the culture and engagement function for a workforce of more than 3,500 employees. Her mandate included developing an enterprise-wide listening and engagement framework, driving employee engagement and employer-brand initiatives, and advising the leadership team on culture and leadership effectiveness.
Prior to *flynas* , Sinha was head-HR at Akasa Air, where she was part of the founding leadership team and built the airline’s HR function from the ground up. During her tenure, she helped scale the workforce from about 100 to more than 4,000 employees while establishing HR policies, processes and technology. She also worked on workforce planning, organisation design, performance management, DE&I, HR analytics and compliance.
Sinha spent nearly six years with Vistara – Tata SIA Airlines, where she held roles including AVP – human resources and DGM-HR. Her responsibilities included HR business partnering, employee engagement, talent management, diversity and inclusion, and leadership-related programmes.
Earlier, she spent more than eight years with IndiGo, progressing through HR generalist, Centre of Excellence and HR business partnering roles. She worked on workforce planning, talent reviews, performance management and rewards for senior employee populations, while also contributing to the airline’s diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Sinha began her HR career with Reliance Industries, where she handled the employee lifecycle at the Vadodara plant, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, payroll and learning and development.
At HONO, Sinha’s appointment comes as the HR technology company looks to strengthen its leadership, culture and employee experience as it expands across markets. The company has highlighted the importance of building scalable organisational capabilities alongside its technology and business growth.
In her professional profile, Sinha describes her HR philosophy around building cultures deliberately and creating workplaces where people and businesses can grow together. Her experience spans high-growth startups, aviation and large enterprises, giving her exposure to both greenfield HR builds and established organisational environments.
Sinha holds an MBA in Human Resources from Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development and a certification in Advanced Image Consultancy and Executive Presence from the London Image Institute.
