Infosys revives campus hiring; invites senior staff to join recruitment panels

Eligibility to join the panels has been restricted to employees at job level five  and above, with at least one year of service at Infosys

Infosys has begun preparations to restart large-scale campus hiring after a two-year pause, inviting its senior employees to participate in recruitment drives across colleges in India.

According to people familiar with the matter, the company has sent a mass email to employees at the level of manager and above, asking them to volunteer as panellists for campus interviews. This marks the first time Infosys has extended such a call to senior staff through a company-wide communication.

Infosys is yet to release an official statement on the matter. However, as per the sources, the executives selected will visit engineering colleges nationwide to evaluate candidates for the role of digital specialist engineers (DSEs) — entry-level positions that require strong programming fundamentals and problem-solving skills. The hiring drive is expected to feed talent pipelines at Infosys development centres across India.

Eligibility to join the panels has been restricted to employees at job level five (JL5) and above, with at least a year-long tenure at Infosys and a performance rating of “met expectations” or higher. These employees will play a direct role in assessing the next wave of freshers entering the IT giant.

The move signals renewed confidence in demand recovery for IT services, especially in areas requiring digital expertise. It also highlights a shift towards deeper involvement of mid- and senior-level staff in shaping the future workforce.

Infosys, India’s second-largest software exporter, has held back from campus hiring in recent years amid global macroeconomic uncertainties and muted demand. Its latest outreach suggests a potential revival in fresher intake, even as the company continues to focus on cost management and productivity improvements.
