Hero MotoCorp has roped in Madhuri Mehta as its new chief human resources officer (CHRO). In her new role, she will focus on building a future-ready workforce, strengthening people practices, and aligning HR initiatives with the company’s innovation-led growth in the automotive sector.
Earlier, Mehta led human capital initiatives as CHRO at Emaar India. In this role, she led the HR function for the company, working towards transforming and building a strong HR foundation for the envisioned growth plans of the real-estate firm.
With over 23 years of experience across prominent organisations including Dalmia Bharat Group, and Bharti Airtel, her expertise lies in talent strategy, organisational culture, and large-scale HR transformations.
Mehta joined Dalmia Bharat Group in 2006 and has spent more than 16 years with the firm, managing all aspects of HR, from culture, capability building, organisation design and change management, to diversity and inclusion, talent acquisition, learning & development and employer branding.
Having started her career at Bharti Airtel, Mehta was able to hone her skills in different aspects of HR including employee engagement, culture building, managing the digitisation process of HR, performance effectiveness and career succession.
She completed a post-graduate diploma in HR from FORE School of Management, and also carries a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Lady Shriram College.
In her two-decade long career, Mehta has spent maximum time managing and establishing people practices in established businesses. She carries the experience of working in sectors such as telecommunications, manufacturing, consumer business and real estate.
