CaratLane, an omnichannel jewellery brand and a TATA product, has appointed Subhashish Chakrabarty as its new chief people officer(CPO). In this role, he will be responsible for driving the company’s people strategy in alignment with its employer value proposition, Creating Your Lane, which emphasises empowering individuals to shape their own unique paths.
He will also work closely with the leadership team to strengthen CaratLane’s culture, built around the values of sharp aesthetics, inventiveness, experience, do, and we.
Prior to this, Chakrabarty was associated with ElasticRun as its director-human resources. He joined the company in the year 2023.
In a LinkedIn post, Subhashish Chakrabarty expressed gratitude as he shared that Monday, 22 September, 2025, marked his last day at ElasticRun. During his tenure, he partnered with a dynamic team through a phase of rapid change, leadership growth, and execution agility in a fast-paced startup environment. The experience, he noted, strengthened his understanding of driving transformation with speed, transparency, and collaboration.
An alumnus of Tata Institute of Social Sciences, he has also worked with several other brands such as ITC and Amazon. With 18 years of experience in HR, he is known for setting up sustainable HR processes and driving talent conversations. Furthermore, his expertise lies in talent acquisition, compensation & benefits, capability development and organisation development. He has demonstrated strong team-leadership skills across the majority of roles anchored in manufacturing, sales and corporate function.
Chakrabarty holds a BTech in Electrical engineering from Maulana Azad Institute of Technology.
