ColdStar Logistics has increased its workforce by 15 per cent as it prepares for a projected 20-25 per cent rise in demand over the next few months during the festive season.
The Tuscan Ventures-backed temperature-controlled supply chain company now has more than 4,500 employees across over 45 sites. The additional workforce is expected to strengthen operational capacity as volumes rise across categories such as gifting, sweets and confectionery, ready-to-eat foods, ice cream and healthy snacking.
ColdStar operates 23 distribution centres serving more than 7,000 pin codes across over 200 cities. The company currently delivers more than 1.2 million units every month.
The expanded workforce will support fulfilment and quality functions as festive consumption increases. The company said advance hiring will help it prepare for higher volumes while maintaining service, hygiene and quality standards.
The hiring comes amid expectations of increased demand from quick-commerce and e-commerce platforms during the festive period. ColdStar said the move is part of its broader effort to build a scalable workforce for the growing temperature-controlled logistics sector.
The company’s workforce has grown significantly in recent years, increasing from 427 employees in FY22 to 3,111 in FY25, alongside the expansion of its distribution network and rising demand from e-commerce and quick-commerce platforms.
