Mumbai-based engineering services provider Onward Technologies is scaling up its global delivery network with the launch of a major offshore design centre in Chennai. This new facility is the company’s largest to date and joins its existing network of delivery centres and labs in Pune, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.

The Chennai design centre is planned to accommodate up to 2,000 employees, making it a significant addition to the company’s workforce capacity. The move comes amid rising demand for offshore engineering and digital services from clients in the US and Europe.

Equipped with advanced training facilities, dedicated software labs, and modern employee amenities, the centre will serve as a hub for digital and engineering research and development. Teams based here will work on complex projects for sectors such as industrial equipment, heavy machinery, and transportation and mobility.

By integrating closely with client operations, the Chennai centre is expected to function as an extension of global R&D teams, delivering specialised expertise and faster turnaround times. The expansion not only enhances Onward Technologies’ global delivery capabilities but also strengthens India’s position as a hub for engineering and technology services.

The large-scale hiring target underscores the company’s long-term growth ambitions and commitment to building advanced digital engineering capabilities to meet the evolving needs of international clients.
