Pankaj Mittal has taken over as group chief human resources officer at Integris Medtech, returning to a full-time HR leadership role after spending the past year-and-a-half working in fractional CHRO and advisory assignments.
At Integris Medtech, a medtech platform operating across cardiovascular and laboratory solutions, Mittal will lead the group’s people strategy, HR operations and workforce transformation agenda. His remit also includes business transformation and talent upskilling.
Mittal most recently worked as fractional CHRO and HR strategy advisor at Translumina Therapeutics between May and August 2026. Before that, he spent more than a year advising an auto ancillary company, where his work included putting HR systems in place and building the capabilities of the HR team.
Those assignments followed one of the longest chapters of his career. Mittal spent more than a decade with American Tower, serving as SVP and CHRO-APAC from January 2015 to February 2025.
His remit there extended well beyond conventional HR operations. He worked across business transformation, workforce strategy and M&A integration in the region. Among the more complex assignments was the post-merger integration of a $1.2 billion transaction, which involved restructuring the employee base from around 2,500 to 1,800 while integrating a vendor workforce of more than 10,000 across over 120 clusters.
Mittal also worked on workforce digitisation, HR analytics and automation, alongside talent, leadership and DEI programmes.
Scale has been a recurring feature of his career. Before American Tower, Mittal was HR director-South Asia at G4S, where his remit covered more than 150,000 employees across India, Bangladesh and Nepal.
He has also served as CHRO at Indus Towers and held leadership roles at Fortis Healthcare. Earlier, Mittal spent more than 12 years with Delphi Automotive Systems, eventually becoming director-HR, Asia Pacific and vice president and director-HR, India. His earlier career included HR roles at Usha International and Usha Shriram Hotels.
Mittal holds an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi.
His move to Integris Medtech marks another change in context after a career spanning automotive, healthcare, telecom infrastructure and security services. More significantly, it puts him back in an operating CHRO seat after a period in which he had chosen to work with organisations through shorter, fractional mandates.
