Garima Garg has joined Uno Minda as group chief human resources officer (CHRO), effective September 2025. She moves after an almost five-year stint with ReNew, where she held multiple leadership roles and was instrumental in strengthening the organisation’s people and talent strategy.

Garg joined ReNew in 2020 as VP–HR & talent head and later took on expanded responsibilities as SVP & head–HR for projects and O&M, before moving into her most recent role as SVP & head–HR for solar projects and manufacturing. During her tenure, she successfully drove initiatives across employee engagement, organisational restructuring, performance management, leadership development, and diversity & inclusion.

She has worked across many sectors such as energy, manufacturing, automotive, industrial goods, cement, BFSI, technology, consumer durables and FMCG.

With a career spanning close to two decades in HR, Garg has worked with many other big brands such as Deloitte, Korn Ferry, PwC, HSBC and Genpact. Her expertise lies in employee engagement, rewards and recognition practices, organisational restructuring and job evaluation.

She has successfully led talent-fulfilment strategies for high-growth organisations including recruitment, talent succession, Hipo pool management, performance management, talent development and talent retention. Garg calls herself a great advocate of diversity and inclusion and she has mentored many women across different career levels.

She began her career with HSBC as its manager learning and development in 2003. After that, she joined Genpact as its senior manager-HR business partner in 2005.

Her next stop was PwC where she took on the role of principal consultant, in the year 2006. It was 2011, when Garg joined Korn Ferry’s consulting business.

After almost six years into this role, Garg moved to Deloitte as its director in 2017.

In a farewell note, Garg expressed her gratitude to ReNew for being “an exceptional platform” that provided her with opportunities to take on diverse roles and gain wide-ranging experiences.

“As I turn the page, I’m excited to begin a new chapter with Uno Minda as group CHRO. Looking forward to working closely with Nirmal K Minda and Ravi Mehra and to contributing to the next phase of growth and transformation,” she shared.

An alumna of XLRI and a graduate in human resources from Cornell University, Garg is widely recognised for her expertise in talent-fulfilment strategies, organisational design, leadership development, and mentoring women professionals across career levels.
