At the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad, the placement process for the Post Graduate Programme in Management for Executives (PGPX) has been successfully completed.
With about 62 companies participating, 119 students from the 16th batch of PGPX have bagged offers, most of which came from Accenture and Adani Digital.
Amongst the participants were top names, such as Google, Microsoft, BCG SEA (South-East Asia), BCG India, Ola Electric, Decimal Technologies, Flipkart, Bain, PwC, Magicpin, UBS, Lenskart, Gujarat Gas, McKinsey, EY-Parthenon, Genpact, ElasticRun, Skit.ai, Gujarat Gas, Monitor, Deloitte, Eques Capital, Arthur D. Little, Amazon, Simplilearn, Indegene, FinIQ, Persistent, and Pravaig.
This year, there has been more demand for talent for strategic roles such as that of CEO, director, programme head, ecosystem and marketing head, young leadership programme head, vice president, chief of staff, product head and more.
Meanwhile, Jamia Milia Islamia (JMI) posted the highest overall placement performance for its 2022 batch. A significant improvement has been observed in offers across BTech, MTech, MCA, MBA, Diploma, BCom, MCom and MA Economics courses.
Over a 100 companies participated, with the highest salary package of up to Rs 25 lakh for Btech students, being offered by Amazon. The average package for Btech Computer Science was around Rs 10 lakh, while for MBA it was Rs 8.8 lakh and for MCA, Rs 8.2 lakh
Down south, in Andhra Pradesh, over 1,000 students from the Aditya Institute of Technology and Management (AITAM) at Tekkali in Srikakulam district were able to bag offers from Wipro, DXC Technology, HCL Technologies and other companies in the placement process.
About 375 students got placed with Wipro.
