    Ajay Tiwari joins Intas Pharmaceuticals as president-HR

    Intas Pharmaceuticals has appointed Ajay Tiwari as president-human resources, a strategic move aimed at strengthening the company’s people agenda and aligning its workforce strategies with business expansion goals.

    In his new role, Tiwari will lead the organisation’s HR strategy, focusing on talent management, organisational development, and employee engagement. He will also play a key role in fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration across the company.

    Before this move, Tiwari was associated with Lupin Manufacturing Solutions as its chief human resources officer, in January, 2025. In this role, Tiwari focused on workforce development and fostering collaboration, serving as a key driver in achieving the company’s long-term objectives.

    Prior to this, Tiwari was associated with Lupin Pharmaceuticals as its VP-HR. He joined the company in the year 2019. In this role, Tiwari led the human resources for the manufacturing operations and the company’s global quality function.

    Tiwari has also played the role of chief-HR, corporate functions and profit centres, Tata Steel, and was based out of Mumbai. Having spent more than two decades in HR, Tiwari comes with a wide experience of working in different industries, such as hospitality, FMCG, manufacturing and automobile.

    He has worked with some prestigious brands, including Unilever, Philips, Taj Hotels and Tata Motors.

    Tiwari started his career with Taj Hotels as an HR officer in the year 1997.

    He has worked with Philips India for eight years as an HR manager having joined the company in 1999. After that, in 2006, he moved to Tata Motors and served as assistant general manager, HR.

    It was in 2008 that he moved to Unilever as its senior category HR manager. Later, in 2012, he was promoted to the role of HR business partner for the company’s global supply chain.

    A science graduate, Tiwari has completed a post-graduate diploma in human resources.
